Less than a week after the season opener the paddock travelled 940 kilometres from Italy to Slovakia. At 5.922 kilometres the Slovakia Ring is the longest lap of the calendar, and with so many Hungarian fans in the grandstands it feels like a home race for Norbert.

On Saturday he won Race 1 from pole position ahead of Jochen Hahn and Sascha Lenz. In Race 2 he started eighth on the reverse grid and won by just 0.010 seconds from René Reinert, after he had missed qualifying while his team replaced a broken gearbox and still fought his way to the front, so losing the win in the last corner was a painful way to end the race.

Race 2 was very exciting. René was doing a really good job defending, so it was really hard to get into position. In the last lap I kind of already gave it up, then I caught up to him and made him defend into the last turn in a very unusual manner, which caused him to miss the apex a bit. I put my nose in and tried to have a good exit as much as possible. I think it was the closest finish in truck racing.

On Sunday there was another pole position, followed by a win in Race 3 after a red-flag restart. Jochen Hahn retired while fighting with Lenz, which, as Norbert said, is never the way you want to win. In Race 4 he started eighth, caught Mark Taylor and made his move on the last lap to win by 0.974 seconds.

That makes seven wins from the first eight races of the season. With 106 points he leads Sascha Lenz (70) by 36.

An amazing weekend with four wins, and I'm really happy to do it here in Slovakia, because it's like a home race with so many Hungarian fans. I'm really proud of the team, Révész Racing, because they did an amazing job again to prepare everything. Speed, reliability, everything is there.
